- Banquet hall is available for receptions, parties, banquets, dances…etc.
- Hall rental fee is $500.00. The rental fee will be waived for events of 300 people or more, however, there will be a clean-up fee of $150.00. Ohio Catering reserves the right to vary fees at their discretion for special circumstances/time, holidays, attendance, etc.
- A $500.00 deposit is required to reserve the facility. PLEASE NOTE – 6 months prior to event a second payment of $500.00 is required. Deposits will be credited to the final invoice and are NON-REFUNDABLE
- Tentative bookings can be made without a deposit. RESERVATION IS NEITHER FINAL NOR GUARANTEED UNTIL DEPOSIT HAS BEEN RECEIVED.
- Due to ordering requirements, we request that FINAL COUNTS be given to us NO LATER THAN 10 DAYS PRIOR TO EVENT. Please consider this when selecting an RSVP date.
- PAYMENTS ARE EXPECTED IN FULL 7-10 DAYS PRIOR TO THE EVENT. Payment is due NO LATER THAN 5 days PRIOR TO THE DATE. Payments can be made by local check, cash, and credit card. **Please know that a processing fee will be added to credit card payments.**
- Menus and pricing are subject to change at any time due to market fluctuations and/ or availability. Renter will be notified of any such change at the earliest possible date.
- NO OUTSIDE CATERING IS PERMITTED. Dessert items(cake/cookies/candy) may be brought into the facility. We will cut and serve your cake as well as tray your cookies. RENTER IS RESPONSIBLE FOR plates, forks & napkins for these items. RENTER MUST PROVIDE CONTAINERS FOR LEFTOVERS.
- A Jefferson County sheriff deputy will be provided for all events at the RENTERS EXPENSE. The deputy has authority at all events and the ability to request ID as well as discontinue any and all activities. The current cost is $100.00 for 4 hours service.
- Decorating by the customer is permitted, however, there is a 4 HOUR LIMIT unless other arrangements are made. Hall will be set up and ready on the scheduled date.
- Decorating services are available at The Countryside by Ohio Catering. Costs vary accordingly. A wide range of linens are available for an additional fee based on selections. We offer round & banquet size tables.
- Beverage set up costs are $2.50 per guest for bars serving alcohol. Included in the set-up are mixers, pop, cups, ice and anything else needed for the bar excluding alcohol. Customers may supply their own alcohol for the bar: however, the setup fee is $3.50 per guest. Bartenders cost is $25/hour- minimum of 4 hours.
- Gratuity is added to sit down dinners at a rate of 20%. Sales tax is currently 7.25% for on-premise events.

- Halls are available for rent for weddings, receptions, banquets, dance and all events. PLEASE contact OHIO CATERING at (740) 543-3978 to book your event. Tentative bookings can be made however, it is NOT guaranteed until the deposit is received. Deposit for the large hall is $500.00, a small hall is $250.00. In the event of cancellation, there will be no refund of the deposit until the date had been rebooked. PLEASE NOTE – 6 months prior to the event the second payment of $500.00 payable to Ohio Catering is required for catering services.
- Hall rental fees are as listed – LARGE HALL – $625.00 SMALL HALL – $150.00 (up to 80 people)
- All tenants will be held responsible for the proper care of the facility while being used and will be required to pay for any and all damages incurred during their rental.
- Ohio Catering is our exclusive caterer. Desserts, cakes, cookies, mints, nuts, favors & decorations may be brought into the hall. Menus are available as a buffet or sit down style. Gratuities are charged to sit down meals at a rate of 15% and are added to the bill.
- Final RSVP counts are due to Ohio Catering 10 to 14 days prior to the event date. FINAL PAYMENTS are due to Ohio Catering 5 to 7 days prior to the event date.
- We will cut and serve your cake at no charge. **The RENTER must provide plates & forks for this. We will also tray/display your cookies at NO additional charge. Renter must provide plates for this also.
- All beverages will be served by the Columbian Club. No alcoholic beverages are permitted to be brought into the hall by tenant or guest. Beverage setup costs are $3.25 per person. This includes pop, mixers, ice, juices & cups. Bartenders are furnished by the Columbian Club at a rate of $75.00 per bartender for the affair.
- No one under the age of 21 years of age will be served alcoholic beverages. Identification will be requested by bartenders. The Columbian Club reserves the right to refuse service of alcoholic beverages to any individual attending the affair.
- For ALL dances: No beverages of any kind, ice or coolers will be permitted into the hall. The tenant is held liable for this rule.
- Decorations must be approved by the hall manager. No decorations are permitted to be taped, pasted, stapled or tacked to walls, woodwork, drapes or doors. Candles must be enclosed. There is a 4 hour limit for decorating. Extra hours will be charged at $25.00/hour unless negotiated with hall manager. Decorating services are offered for all events. Linens are available at an additional charge. Please discuss options with Ohio Catering.
- The parking lot and coat check area is for use by hall patrons. The hall is NOT responsible for ANY lost, stolen or damaged items.
- Ohio sales tax will be charged on all food and beverage service. Rate is 7.25% at this time and is subject to change at any time.
- Closing time for all weddings is 11 pm, for all dances 1:00am unless other arrangements have been made.
- Leftover food items will be packaged up in TENANTS containers supplied to Ohio Catering.

Liability Policy
Renter shall be responsible for property damage, theft, breakage, personal injury or death caused or suffered by renters, its guests or invitees. Renter shall further be responsible for injuries, claims or causes of action arising as a result of renters service of alcoholic beverages. Renter agrees to provide liability insurance coverage and if requested to provide proof of insurance to Ohio Catering. Renter agrees to assume all liability for itself, guests and invitees and to hold The Countryside, Ohio Catering, Raymond Johnson, Leigh Johnson, their employees, associates, servers, and agents harmless there from. The undersigned renter or authorized agent of renter acknowledges that he/she has read the foregoing banquet hall rental agreement, understands the terms hereof, agrees to each and every term and executes the agreement freely and voluntarily.
